We’re planning a community volunteer event, part of a national campaign to encourage group action on a single day (May 4) to reduce fire risk. It’s called Wildfire Community Preparedness Day and is held annually in the US and Canada the 1st Saturday in May.
Our volunteer crews will go to disadvantaged Old Bisbee persons’ homes and reduce fire risk. This may include cutting grass, weeds, brush; trimming trees; raking; and removing flammable debris from roofs, decks, rain-gutters and from around structures.
The day will start at the Central School Project at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 4th.
